Azerbaijani side opens fire in direction of bread transporting car in Akna: Artsakh DM

During the recent period the number of actions by the adversary in different sectors of line of contact has grown. In particular the adversary has launched active engineering-constructions actions, violates ceasefire regime, Artsakh Defense Ministry press service reports.

“It is worth to note that the Azerbaijani side often targets not only the front positions of the Defense Army but mobile objects which ensure safety of the rear,” the press service reported.

“In particular the Azerbaijani armed forces has recently opened fire in the direction of Akna targeting a car transporting bread to one of the military units. In the period from May 2-3 the adversary opened over 330 shots from the weapons of different calibers in the direction of military positions of Mataghis,” the Defense Ministry’s statement says.

“Artsakh Republic Defense Ministry draws the attention of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries to the above mentioned fact and at the same time urges the Azerbaijani side to restrain from the unpromising strategy of artificial escalation of the situation,” the statement concluded.
