Nine candidates applied for position of CC judge

The nomination term of candidates for the post of the judge of the Constitutional Court expired today. Overall nine candidates have been nominated.

Armenia’s President’s aide Hasmik Petrosyan told Aysor.am that the candidates are Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Martin Manukyan, Karen Karapetyan, Gevorg Muradyan, Vahe Grigoryan and Arthur Vagharshyan. The other three candidates express wish not to be unveiled.
Vahe Grigoryan is being nominated for the position for already the third time.

The election of the judge of the Constitutional Court fails for already fourth time. The last one tool place on April 16 when the ruling majority rejected the candidacy of Gor Hovhannisyan nominated by the president.

Later on April 18 President Armen Sarkissian signed an order about setting new elections of the CC judge.

The aide said that the applicants for the post are requested to submit all the necessary documents till 6 p.m., May 3.
