Ex-lawmaker Manvel Grigoryan’s lawyers to apply to ECHR

Lawyer of former lawmaker Manvel Grigoryan stated at a news conference today that the supervising body interferes into the examination of the case of his defendant.

Levon Baghdasaryan stated that selective justice is being executed in case of his defendant.

The lawyer said they consider the justice exhausted in the domestic state instances and are going to apply to the European Court of Human Rights.

“Moreover, we will not bring to the end the last judicial act and will apply to the European Court about noisy violations,” the lawyer said.

As to the numerous petitions for changing preventive measure and their rejections by courts, the lawyer said that the accusing side fails to present grounds on how Manvel Grigoryan will impede the examination while being set free from custody.

“The supervising prosecutor stated that Grigoryan will impede the examination of the case while being in freedom but he did not bring any example on how this person may do it,” the lawyer said.

Baghdasaryan also stressed that his defendant has very poor health condition.
