New sport school after Artur Alexanyan will be built, sport and youth affairs minister Gabriel Ghazaryan told Aysor.am.
“New sport school will be built but the old one will be renovated,” he said, adding that approximately 480 million AMD has been envisaged for the construction of the new school.
Ghazaryan stressed that the construction works will launch from the next year. Senior group will train in the new school while the others will attend the existing renovated one.
At the April 25 cabinet sitting Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the issue of the school after the Olympic champion, World champion, champion of Europe in Greco-Roman style wrestling Arthur Alexanyan, stressing that the issue must pass to the practical phase.
The PM urged to start the works. He said the athletes who are examples of inspiration must see that Armenia evaluates their contribution to the state.
