Request of incumbent and former presidents of Artsakh fits in legal field, not political: My Step MP
My Step faction lawmaker, head of Foreign Affairs Standing Committee Ruben Rubinyan does not think that the request of Artsakh’s acting and incumbent presidents to release Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan ahead of May 9 holidays has any relation to politics.
“I think it is not me who should give any assessment to it. The mentioned people have applied to Attorney general Artur Davtyan and he is the one to respond. It is not a matter of politics at all. Mr Sahakyan and Mr Davtyan applied to the prosecutor, it is a legal issue,” Rubinyan told the reporters today.
He stressed that there is only a proposal addressed to the attorney general. “Artsakh’s former and incumbent presidents applied to the attorney general presenting their proposal, it is their right. I see just a proposal here, if there is any political pre-context here, you should ask it from the authors of the proposal,” Rubinyan stressed.
