5,7 billion AMD allocated for the apartment needs of retired militaries: Armenia’s PM presents facts about New Armenia
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan convened today a press conference in the National Gallery on the occasion of one year of his tenure in the position of the country’s PM to present 100 facts about New Armenia.
The first fact the head of the government stressed is that the budget incomes of the running year were over implemented not by 40 billion AMD as stated before but by 62 billion.
“In the first quarter of 2019 the budget incomes grew by 25% as compared with the same span of the past year which is mainly agreed with the cut in shadow which resulted in this growth of budget income,” Pashinyan said.
The second fact is that the government has paid back 120 billion transit overpayment to the tax payers which made 90% of the overpayment debt.
“As of January 1, 2018 the debt reached 130 billion, it means the business has paid 130 billion more without having such commitment,” Pashinyan said.
The head of the government said that after the revolution the NSS returned 19 billion AMD more to the entrepreneurs as compared with the same span of the previous year.
Another fact the PM mentioned is that 51,000 jobs were brought out of the shadow, part of which supposedly are newly created jobs. The other thing is that currently the citizens are free to pass customs clearance of cars at any customs office.
The other important thing the PM said is the raise of salaries of military servicemen and teachers expected from September 1. He said 5,7 billion AMD has been provided from the reserve fund for satisfying the apartment needs of retired militaries.
“Another fact is that the number of conscript servicemen implementing military duty has been cut by 700 and replaced by contract servicemen. The police troops are participating in the protection of Armenian-Azerbaijani state border and have their own protection zones,” the PM stressed.
