We claim the necessity to examine and reveal circumstances of deaths of ten people on March 1, 2008: Hayk Alumyan
No one has right to state that the March 1 case is fully revealed until all the deaths are clarified, lawyer of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan told the reporters after the court hearing today.
He said that they are among those few who claim that the circumstances of all the ten deaths of March 1, 2008 developments must be examined and clarified.
The lawyer stressed that it is necessary to understand about disproportionate use of force, about what was ordered, what usage of force was ordered and whether this order was appropriate to the situation or not. “In this regard it is not clear yet who are the guilty for these deaths, who shot the people,” Alumyan said.
“Besides a person who died of cheryemukha, there is no information about the others. It is not known by who they were killed. We say how can you claim that the state has used disproportionate force in case when there were 187 policeman with injuries and 32 citizens,” he said.
As to whether a pressure is being exerted on the judge, Alumyan said it is so but of course no judge will ever confess being pressured on.
