Without Nagorno Karabakh real settlement of the conflict impossible: Armenia’s PM

It is impossible to settle any conflict focusing on the interests of only one side only, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in Brussels, adding that the main impediment to it is Azerbaijan’s position.

“The truth is that the conflict has three parties – Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia. We think that it is very important to have proper circle of negotiations to be able to settle the conflict,” Pashinyan said.

Asked whether he met with Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev, Pashinyan said he had a short conversation with the Azerbaijani president.

“It was a very short conversation about the existing situation, but I am sure that the negotiations will continue. It is very important for Nagorno Karabakh to return to the table of negotiations. Without Nagorno Karabakh it is impossible to reach real settlement of the issue,” Pashinyan said.
