Kocharyan’s lawyer has no information when Artsakh presidents will come to court
Lawyer of Armenia’s second president Hayk Alumyan speaking to reporters after today’s court hearing said he does not know when presidents of Artsakh will come to court to claim their guarantees for Robert Kocharyan’s release.
“I cannot say whether they will come by the end of this examinations or not,” the lawyer said.
He stressed that at any phase of the trial the issue on preventive measure may be discussed at the initiative of any of the parties.
Earlier, Aysor.am has reported that the two presidents of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan and second president Arkady Ghoukasyan addressed a letter of guarantee for the release of Robert Kocharyan.
“We guarantee that in case of release of Artsakh’s first and Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan the latter will display proper behavior, will not impede the examination of the case, will not avoid from being summoned up to investigative body, will not undertake any action not allowed by the Criminal Code. Our request is to change the preventive measure,” the lawyer recited the letter.
Judge Davit Grigoryan stated that people who express readiness to stand as guarantors, according to the law, must be invited to the court and claim their guarantees.
In response, Khudoyan asked the court to provide time to find out whether Arkady Ghoukasyan and Bako Sahakyan may attend the court hearing.
