Prosecutors hide NSS letter throughout the whole process: Kocharyan to judge

Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan spoke today at court about the February 28 letter of the National Security Service addressed to police which served as a ground for starting actions in the Liberty Square.

“In all processes the prosecutors hid the NSS’s letter from the judges. We have discovered it after receiving the criminal case. The fact that the prosecutors, as well as the investigator, hid from the judges examining the issue of preventive measure the latter and the defense side did not have an opportunity to express position over it,” Kocharyan told the judge.

Kocharyan also stated that the defense party has not been presented the materials collected by the NSS from February 24 to March 2.

“Besides, only one person has been interrogated from the NSS. They will invite 800 people to testify with only one being from the NSS. I am telling you this for you to know about the quality of the case in this phase,” the second president told the judge.
