Today agriculture has very low productivity: Tavush governor
Governor of Tavush Hayk Chobanyan summed up the 100 days of his tenure in office in Yenokavan community.
The governor promised more frequent meetings in Tavush and more interesting than governor’s press conference.
“My aim was to apply such management mechanisms to be able to reach our goals. The biggest achievement we have is the involvement of the whole human resource of the region in our projects, be it in the sectors of agriculture, tourism, culture, industry or any other,” Hayk Chobanyan said.
He said in all the issues they will display strategic approach in all the issues. “We will not do anything in episodes. In the upcoming few years our projects will mainly relate to the agricultural sector. We are using just a small part of our agricultural potential,” he said.
The governor also stressed that the opinion as if farmers do not work or are lazy does not correspond to reality. He said the problem is that today agriculture has very low productivity.
“We must make it more effective for our farmers for them to love agriculture again. There will not be any unused land in Tavush. We already have a progress in this regard,” he said.
