Court makes decision in favor of ex-security service head of Armenia’s third president
Judge of Armenia’s administrative court Gevorg Sosunyan has upheld the lawsuit of former security service head of Armenia’s third president Serzh Sargsyan against the Ethics Commission of High-ranking Officials.
The court has obliged the commission to eliminate the declarations of Vachagan Ghazaryan and his spouse for the year of 2017 and suspension of position in 2018.
The court also obliged the commission to pay Vachagan Ghazaryan 4,000 AMD as judicial expenses.
Vachagan Ghazaryan filed a lawsuit against the commission, claiming that it had no right to publish his declarations after April 9, 2018 as after the Constitutional amendments entered into force the deputy head of the General Department of State Protection stopped being a high-ranking official.
