Armenia’s Ombudsman describes PM’s call dangerous for country’s legal system’s security and stability
Human Rights Defender has referred to the PM’s call to close the doors of all the courts.
In the released statement Tatoyan stressed that in the Republic of Armenia the implementation of power must be ensured in accordance with the Constitution and laws which are based on the balance and division of power into legislative, executive and judicial branches.
He stressed that any interference into the actions of courts and implementation of justice is banned.
He said that there are issues in judicial system but their solutions must be reached in exclusively legal ways.
The ombudsman stated that the PM’s call to blockade the doors of courts is strictly dangerous for the country’s legal system’s security and stability.
He demanded from state and public figures to stop the calls and demands to do it, as well as urged the citizen to refrain from such actions, adding that it is dangerous from the point of view of human rights protection in Armenia.
