Car examination has no relation with Artsakh SC secretary Vitaly Balasanyan: Police statement

Car examination process has no relation with Artsakh Security Council secretary Vitaly Balasanyan, head of Police press department Ashot Aharonyan stated.

“Armenia’s police has examined a car upon receiving information about illegal arms. Secretary of Artsakh Security Council Vitaly Balasanyan appeared to be in the car. Police officially informs that from the very beginning this process had no relation with the Artsakh SC secretary Vitaly Balasanyan and there is and was no issue with him,” Aharonyan wrote on Facebook.

Balasanyan is still in the Avan administrative region. Speaking to reporters, he said that he is here with his friend and the car does not belong to him.

“I have arrived in Yerevan yesterday, in the afternoon to participate in the 90th birthday anniversary of my friend’s father,” Balsanyan said.

He said during this period he has not met with Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan, has not called him and has not contacted at all.

Balasanyan stressed he does not allow the car to be searched until corresponding documents are presented.
