PAP faction has no decision on joining Bright Armenia’s signature gathering initiative

Prosperous Armenia party has not made a decision over joining Bright Armenia’s initiated signature gathering for convening extraordinary parliament session, PAP faction secretary Arman Abovyan told the reporters.

He said the faction has not conducted a discussion over it yet, but stressed that the faction will by all means participate at May 24 parliamentary hearings over transitional justice topic.

“We will by all means participate in the parliamentary hearings on May 24 and express our position. The two-day difference is not a big matter,” Abovyan stressed.

Bright Armenia faction has initiated signature gathering for conducting extraordinary session to discuss the developments in judicial system.

My Step faction has stated from the very beginning that it will not join the initiative.

The NA may convene extraordinary session at the initiative of lawmakers if 33 signatures are gathered.
