Simple person who does not like lying: CC judge candidate Artur Vagharshyan about him

Armenian National Assembly is discussing the election of the member of Constitutional Court. The candidate is Artur Vagharshyan nominated by Armenia’s president.

Presenting his vision about the Constitutional Court Vagharshyan said in his speech that the CC has an important role in establishing constitutionality in the country.

He said that each member of the CC must have his unique role and be able to give objective comment to legal norms.

The candidate stressed that today’s issue they are facing is to make justice and right a legality in Armenia.

As to what steps he will undertake if elected CC judge, Vagharshyan said, “One flower does not bring spring, but I will try to reach certain changes the first of which will be participation of all the CC members in the decisions made by the Constitutional Court,” he said, adding that it should not be done by the apparatus with the CC members just approving it.

Referring to his personality, Vagharshyan said he is a clear person who does not love lying especially at the important moment of assuming to take the responsible post.

“I am not related to any political force and I am not involved in any political processes. I am participating in the process of nomination of candidates from the past year and after hearing about the competition decided to take part in it,” he said, adding that as a result of the first competition Vahe Grigoryan was nominated and in the second he did not take part not being in Armenia.
