Incident with Samvel Babayan revealed, all engaged identified: NSS director

The service examination will be completed and information provided, National Security Service chief Artur Vanetsyan told the reporters after cabinet meeting today, referring to the PM’s statement about eliminated materials at the NSS.

As to the incident with Samvel Babayan and his associates, Vanetsyan said that the NSS is dealing with the case and has completely revealed it. “The case is revealed, the circle of all involved is known,” Vanetsyan said, adding that there is no need to search conspiracies.

“It is a dispute between two groups of people over financial affairs. The Police and the NSS will release a statement about the incident in the coming hours,” Vanetsyan said.

As to fakes, the NSS director said the process continues.

Asked about resignation of NSS deputy chief Arzuman Harutyunyan, Vanetsyan said he personally wrote resignation application which was satisfied.
