Any judicial act against Kocharyan to be made under such pressure not legal from very beginning: Hayk Alumyan
After Robert Kocharyan’s release Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the parliamentary majority directly urged to exert pressure on judicial system, defense team member of Kocharyan, Hayk Alumyan told the reporters today.
“They called to block courts, this is a clear message to the Court of Appeal and to all the judges relating to Kocharyan on what will happen if any of them dares to make a decision over Kocharyan that will not satisfy the prime minister and the parliamentary majority,” Alumyan said.
The attorney noted that this was the toughest pressure by two branches of power on the third one.
“This was an unprecedented phenomenon which made any judicial act to be made in future illegal. Any judicial act to be made under such pressure is not legal from the very beginning,” Alumyan said.
