Two people arrested in Samvel Babayan’s associates’ attack case

Two people have been arrested in the sidelines of the criminal case filed after attack on associates of Samvel Babayan.

“Alexey Balayan and Roland Aydinyan have been arrested. They are charged under 2d part of Article 235 of the Criminal Code,” head of the Investigative Department Naira Harutynyan told Aysor.am.

The part of the Article sets from two to six years in jail for illegal possession or transportation of weapon by a group of people with initial agreement.

Few days ago Samvel Babayan’s office came up with a statement about attack on his associates on Sevan-Martuni road.

Later NSS director Artur Vanetsyan speaking to Aysor.am stated that the case is fully revealed and the circle involved identified.

“No need to search for conspiracies. It is a financial dispute between two groups of people,” Vanetsyan said.
