Armenia must not just ask U.S. for assistance but offer something too: political analyst
It is difficult to imagine what Armenia may propose to the United States as the incumbent pragmatic president has a business mentality, expert in international affairs, political analyst Suren Sargsyan told Aysor.am, referring to the circumstance that Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has not received official invitation from the U.S. President since his election yet.
The U.S. President though has already invited Ukrainian president-elect Vladimir Zelensky to Washington.
The political analyst said Ukraine is of prior significance for the United States as it is being viewed in the pre-context of relations with Russia.
“In this regard it is not strange that Vladimir Zelelnsky has been invited to Washington to meet with Donald Trump. Of course, there is nothing strange, I think one of the first foreign visits of the Ukrainian president is to be to the USA,” the political analyst said.
At the same time Suren Sargsyan stated that Armenia must offer something to the U.S. President.
“We cannot just get assistance from the United States. It is an issue what we can propose to our American partners. To tell the truth, it is difficult for me to imagine it,” Sargsyan said.
