We will continue supporting Armenia’s economy, developing Zvartnots airport: Martin Ernekyan

Corporacion America Airports leadership summit has been conducted in Armenia this time.

Airport Council International board chairman Martin Ernekyan said this is a good opportunity to gather in Armenia and see how important Armenia is for the team.

Ernekyan thanked Armenia for hosting the event.

“We are convinced that we will enjoy this country and its wonderful culture,” Ernekyan said.

He also stressed that big achievements have been registered in Armenia and they will continue supporting the country’s economy and develop Zvartnots airport.

“We will review our other projects in Armenia and initiate new ones,” Ernekyan said.

As to what issues they are facing in Armenia, Ernekyan said that they do not meet big issues in Armenia.

“I would not say that we are facing big issues here, we are very happy for the firm cooperation with the government and will work to set priorities for new investments,” he said.

Ernekyan also stressed that they are aware of the importance of the old building of Zvartnots and its cultural peculiarities and will create opportunities for preserving it.

Speaking about Shirak airport, Ernekyan said that they are cooperating with the architects of the airport and are almost ready to start reconstruction works.
