Lawyer claims Manvel Grigoryan’s life is in danger
Manvel Grigoryan was getting intensive treatment in one of the best medical centers of Armenia but with unknown reasons, the penitentiary decided that it has all the conveniences for Grigoryan to continue treatment in the hospital of convicts, lawyer of ex-lawmaker Levon Baghdasaryan told the reporters today.
“If a person wants to get treatment funded by his relatives, the state must allow it. Yesterday the person was getting regular treatment but officials from penitentiary come and transported him,” he said, adding that Grigoryan was transported to Yerevan Kentron penitentiary and after being kept there for 2-3 hours he was compulsory moved to the hospital of convicts.
Baghdasaryan said that the defense side stayed 4-5 hours at night to see the defendant but did not manage to.
Only at about 4-5 a.m. an opportunity to see the convict was given who stated again that he refuses to get treatment at hospital of convicts.
“Today he is being illegally kept there. It is a typical example of total torture. Manvel Grigoryan’s life is in danger. Shall we wait until the person dies and then search for guilty?” the lawyer said, adding that the case tied on Grigoryan.
