Manvel Grigoryan falls into coma, transported to civil hospital

Manvel Grigoryan’s health condition has sharply worsened and he was transported to the civil hospital and is in rehabilitation department, lawyer Arsen Mkrtchyan told Aysor.am, not mentioning exactly what medical center his defendant has been transported to.

“He fell in coma and transported to civil hospital. The visits of relatives here are not allowed. After Grigoryan is transported to hospital room no ban of visits will be,” the lawyer said.

Mkrtchyan said he saw his defendant today and he was conscious.

As to whether doctors suggest treating him abroad, the lawyer said the condition of his defendant was so bad that they were trying to save his life.

“If it was not the matter of life, he would not be transported to civil hospital. The Ombudsman also contributed to transportation,” Mkrtchyan said.

As to whether they will apply to the PM for permitting Grigoryan to leave for abroad for treatment, the lawyer said there is no need of it as the PM openly states that he does not interfere into judicial processes.

“It will be enough for him not to express negative attitude about it. It will be already good,” the lawyer said.
