Adekvad founder Artur Danielyan leaves police department
Adekvad founder Artur Danielyan left police department. Speaking to reporters he said he considers it strange that he was brought here in handcuffs as he did not impede the police officers.
“The reason of bringing here was clear, but why in handcuffs not. I am accused of threatening to use violence against citizen Nikol Pashinyan,” Danielyan said, adding that he just repeated the statement of Nikol Pashinyan’s associate who made similar statement addressed to Artsakh president Bako Sahakyan.
On May 25 at the rally in support Nikol Pashinyan his associate Jivan Avetisyan stated that if Robert Kocharyan goes to Artsakh he will be the first one to urge people “go and crash Bako Sahakyan’s head.”
At a news conference yesterday Artur Danielyan complaining of the atmosphere of impunity in the country said they will soon call to "go and crash Nikol Pashinyan’s head".
Danielyan said he repeated the statement clearly knowing that the police would not see any criminal features in it.
“Police have confirmed it but like in many other cases, this time as well we witness that dual standards are acting in Armenia. If you are doing something for this authorities you are becoming intact while if you are a political opposition and dare to repeat what their associates say you are being persecuted,” he said.
As to Aysor.am’s question whether he considers it to be political persecution, Danielyan said yes.
“By the way if previously they were trying to exert pressure through police, now they apply to criminal elements as well,” Danielyan said.
