Trade turnover between Armenia and Russia grew by 11% in 2018: ambassador
The trade turnover between Armenia and Russia grew by 11% in 2018, Russia’s ambassador to Armenia Sergey Koprikin said at a press conference on Tuesday.
“Russia continues to be Armenia’s key economic partner. The trade turnover between Armenia and Russia in 2018 grew by 11% totaling 2 billion USD which makes 26% of Armenia’s foreign trade turnover,” the ambassador said, adding that it is a brilliant result if to consider the not stable situation in the world economy.
Kopirkin also stressed that Russia is also main investor for Armenia.
“In 2018 Russia’s direct investments in Armenia’s economy amounted to 125 million USD”
