Two police officers charged for beating Davit Khazhakyan’s relative
Two police officers have been charged for beating relative of head of the Luys faction of Yerevan City Council Davit Khazhakyan, spokesperson for the Special Investigation Service Marina Ohanjanyan told Aysor.am.
The incident took place few days ago in Yerevan.
The police officers have been charged under three articles of the Criminal Code – torture, abuse of power, official falsification.
According to the source, petitions have been filed for arresting the police officers but only one was satisfied, as a result one of them has been arrested, the other not.
Earlier Khazhakyan has stated about the incident in Facebook live video.
“The risk of group interests in this case is high but at the same time I am convinced that no one will avoid responsibility and all the involved will be revealed irrespective of their position,” Khazhakyan stated.
