Artsakh hopes for positive impact of Mnatsakanyan-Mammadyarov meeting: Davit Babayan

Each meeting has positive impact on the regional peace and stability, head of press service department of Artsakh president Davit Babayan told Aysor.am, referring to the upcoming June 20 meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers in Washington D.C.

“Of course, we know Azerbaijan very well and understand that it will continue its unconstructive police. Nevertheless, we hope that Mnatsakanyan-Mammadyarov meeting will have some positive impact,” he said, adding that it is a fact that Azerbaijan does not review its vision but irrespective of anything, bilateral meetings are important.

“They first of all allow to preserve peace and stability as well as ensure the continuity of the negotiations,” Babayan said.

The meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries is set for June 20 in Washington D.C. under the auspices of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
