Representative of March 1 victim successor, prosecutors demand judge’s recusal

Representative of the successor of March 1 victims Seda Safaryan stated at the court today that they are going to file a petition for recusal of the judge. She said she and the successor represented by her are not sure in the objectiveness of the judge Danielyan.

She pointed to few criminal cases which were under proceeding of judge Armen Danielyan and doubted his objectivity.

“You were Robert Kocharyan’s regime defender for a certain period of time, you obeyed the politically lined schemes and now you are considering case of arrest of Kocharyan,” she said, adding that she and her client do not have any trust toward the judge, who she said is not outlined for his strive to establish justice.

The prosecutors also joined the lawyer’s demand of judge’s recusal.

Kocharyan’s representative asked 15 minutes for them to discuss the petition. The court went for 15-minute break.
