All equal before law: NA speaker on PAP leader’s invitation to show up to Investigative Committee
Invitation of the Prosperous Armenia party leader Gagik Tsarukyan to interrogation does not have any special trend, Armenia’s National Assembly speaker Ararat Mirzoyan told the reporters today.
“What does it mean ‘trend’? In the same way ex-presidents, prime minister many high-ranking officials are being invited. Eventually, all are equal before law. If law enforcement body finds it necessary to invite any person for him to share information in the sidelines of a criminal case, irrespective of the position, the person must go and share information. I will ask you not to boil this information much, not to escalate it, as it is not of as much significance as it is being spoken about,” the NA speaker said.
Earlier Aysor.am reported about the statement of the PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan who was invited to the Investigative Committee in the sidelines of the case of inflammation of head of Civil Contract party candidate’s headquarters in Abovian.
Tsarukyan torn the notification and did not show up. The Investigative Committee has sent the notification for the second time to the National Assembly.
