Military cooperation of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia must worry Armenia: expert
Taking into consideration the existence of conflicts in the South Caucasus and the high-level of Armenian-Georgian relations the military cooperation of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia must raise concerns in Armenia, expert in Georgian affairs Alik Eroyants told Aysor.am, referring to periodically conducted Tukish-Azerbaijani military exercises and about Georgia’s possible participation in them.
Eroyants believes that the proposal made by Turkey and Azerbaijan to Georgia must be of big concern for official Yerevan as each cooperation between these three countries may contain potential dangers.
“Armenia does not have any relations with two of the three countries and the military cooperation among them must be in the focus of official Yerevan. But if to view the high level relations between Armenia and Georgia of course Armenia must not make tough statements in Georgia’s address,” Eroyants said.
In his words the response must be diplomatic and through political dialogue.
Days ago in at the 7th meeting of the defense ministers of Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan, Georgia was proposed to participate in the periodically conducted Turkish-Azerbaijani joint military exercises to which it gave its consent.
