Broken promises, bad staff policy, blacks and whites division: Marukyan enumerates government’s issues

Head of Bright Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan described the budget implementation discussions as “extraordinary”.

“On one hand we know that it is about important document and the opposition has what to say, on the other we are discussing a report on budget implementation which was voted against the very head of the government. We are facing an interesting challenge. Before November we supported the budget implementation and consequently we cannot be against it, but on the other hand we voted against the budget,” Marukyan stated in his speech today.

He stressed that there are issues impossible not to refer to. Among them Marukyan stressed the staff policy of the government, saying that if it continues this way they will criticize the government stronger.

The other issue he said is the broken promises.

“We have said and continue saying that there were promises which were not kept. There are things they say yes we told so but we will do it in another way,” Marukyan said.

The third issue he said is dividing the people into blacks and whites.

“You should be everyone’s prime minister, everyone’s government. We have criticized  strictly this division which was again repeated by the Yerevan mayor,” he said, stressing that lessons are not being picked up.

He stressed that the situation could have been better if the government was listening, more open for cooperation.

The lawmaker said stemming from “extraordinary” circumstances this time they will back the report on implementation of the 2018 budget.
