War to start as head of state ruins war restricting mechanisms: expert

During the ruling of former authorities Armenia at least was offering two-three important issues to the world with the key of them being the security and predictability in the South Caucasus, head of the Voskanapat think tank Hrant Melik-Shannazaryan said at Adekvad discourse conference in Yerevan today, initiated by Adekvad NGO.

“The second issue was that basing on its historic past and pursuing international recognition of the Armenian Genocide Armenia was raising a very actual issue – the issue of crimes against humanity,” he said, adding that Armenia was forming an environment where the civilized world was able to fight against crimes with joint efforts.

“It was a very actual issue especially in the Middle East where the Armenian factor is very strong,” the political analyst said, adding that Armenia had a chance to become the pioneer, locomotive force in this issue.

He stressed that it did not take place because of Nikol Pashinyan.

Melik-Shahnazaryan also referred to the issue of increase of security level on the border and reduction of number of violations of ceasefire regime while obviously the seeming calmness is being used by the adversary for applying aggression from more favorable positions.

The expert stressed that the war will definitely break.

“The war will start because the head of state ruins war restriction mechanisms,” he said.
