High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs says has big ties in the USA, to mobilize them in Armenia’s favor
Armenia must be fair and desirable, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan told the reporters in Masis today.
“Previously attracting Diaspora was a serious issues. That time even Armenia’s population was not being attracted with its own place of living, now the situation has changed,” he said, adding that the mood in Diaspora is very high.
“If in Armenia the post-revolutionary enthusiasm has a bit faded away, there it has not, but they are still waiting,” he said.
Sinanyan said they have strategic program and the first step will be working with the Armenian community of Russia.
“It is the biggest and widely spread geographically, besides it is both psychologically and physically more connected with Armenia. In case of right, good work they will not only make the biggest potential for Armenia but the country as well may get many other dividends, we may help them in many issues,” he said.
The official said that he has many ties in the United States and will mobilize them in Armenia’s favor.
“I lived there for over 31 years and was engaged in public affairs for over 20 years. For the past seven years I was an elected political officials and I have many ties and must mobilize them all in Armenia’s favor,” Sinanyan said.
