No issues between Armenian and Russian delegations to PACE: Ruben Rubinyan
Head of the Armenian delegation to PACE Ruben Rubinyan stated that he has voted against Russia’s return to the PACE works due to technical reasons.
“On behalf of the Armenian delegation I have welcomed the return of the Russian delegation on behalf of its head Pyotr Tolstoy. I was glad to meet with Leonid Kalashnikov, member of the Russian delegation again,” Rubinyan wrote on Facebook.
He said during the voting his vote was wrongly registered as against and not for due to technical reasons.
“I have made a statement at the PACE plenary session and my statement was attached to the protocol of the session. Despite the ominous predictors no issue has been created between us and our Russian colleagues, we are discussing issue on organizing rapprochement evening,” Rubinyan said.
Head of the Armenian delegation voted against the resolution. Lawmaker Hovhannes Igityan did not participate in the voting. Lawmakers Naira Zohrabyan and Edmon Marukyan voted for the resolution.
