PAP to give assessment over Kocharyan’s case after having full picture of the case

March 1 is viewed on exclusively legal platform, lawmaker from Prosperous Armenia faction Iveta Tonoyan said at the briefing on Wednesday.

Asked how the party treats the court’s verdict to re-arrest Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan, Tonoyan said, “After the legal solution to the issue the Prosperous Armenia party will give its assessment to it.”

Asked whether the PAP shares Kocharyan’s statement that there is neither law nor legality in Armenia, Tonoyan said, “It is an opinion that has right to exist. We have told many times that all are equal before law and the developments must be viewed in the sidelines of this statement.”

Vice speaker of the NA from Prosperous Armenia faction Vahe Enfiajyan said that they share the circumstance of the rule of law. “After getting the full picture of the case our assessment will not be late,” Enfiajyan stated.

As to whether the PAP lawmakers consider Robert Kocharyan political prisoner, the lawmakers stressed that not having complete information of what happened no one can take commitment to make such assessments.
