National stadium to be built in one of the regions: Artur Vanetsyan

The construction of national stadium is very important, chairman of the Armenian Football Federation Artur Vanetsyan told the reporters today.

“But we clearly imagine that it needs huge investments and the state cannot participate in it. The national stadium must be built by private investor,” he said, adding that the negotiations with investor continue.

Vanetsyan stressed that first a decision was made to build the stadium in Yerevan but after the further discussions a decision has been made to build it in one of the regions close to Yerevan.

“There are many buildings in Yerevan. If we manage to build the stadium in one of the regions close to Yerevan, naturally other structures will also be build with which we will support the development of regions. We work every day for speeded-up solution of the issue,” Vanetsyan said, adding that from the first day of his election he stated about the attention to be paid to the development of mass football.
