Armenia’s economy continues registering growth: Prime Minister
Armenia’s economy continues registering high activeness indexes, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the cabinet sitting today.
“In May it has registered 7,3% economic activeness index but more important is the content which this economic activeness index has,” he said.
The prime minister noted that as compared with the same span of the past year the export index grew by 15% and in January-May as compared with the same span it registered 0,1 growth.
“It means that we have overcome the export problems. We had some concerns in the first quarter of the year and now they all have gone and we will register noticeable growth with this year’s results,” he said.
The prime minister attached significance to the changes that took place in the export structure. He said the processing industry registered 1,8% growth while the export of raw has reduced.
Pashinyan also stressed that a noticeable move has been registered on the sphere of export of agricultural products.
