Discussions necessary to solve the crisis over Constitutional Court: NA speaker
The newly elected judge of the Constitutional Court Vahe Grigoryan has addressed a letter to the members of the Constitutional Court, National Assembly, Armenia’s president, government and general assembly of judges regarding the crisis created in the CC.
Speaking to reporters at the National Assembly, speaker Ararat Mirzoyan confirmed the information, saying that it is quite an extended letter.
“I cannot recite it fully, as we are speaking about an extended document. Bringing the facts and grounding the crisis in the Constitutional Court Vahe Grigoryan offers three solutions to the issue,” Mirzoyan said, refusing to unveil any other details of the letter.
He said some uncertainty is dominating regarding the CC thus the institutions forming the Constitutional Court must discuss the situation and go out from the created crisis.
The NA speaker also stressed about public’s distrust toward the CC.
“The body called to solve serious disputes between state institutions and give final solutions does not enjoy people’s trust,” Mirzoyan said.
