Armenia’s deputy PM meets with President of Iran Hasan Rouhani
Armenia’s deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan who was in Iran to participate in the session of the Armenia-Iran joint inter-governmental commission met with President of Iran Hasan Rouhani.
Government’s press service reports that during the meeting the deputy PM noted that the relations between Armenia and Iran are based on historic ties and mutual trust and expressed hope that they will foster and enhance more with joint efforts.
Mher Grigoryan informed the Iranian president that the session passed in constructive atmosphere with arrangements having reached over enhancement of cooperation in a number of sectors presenting mutual interest.
The interlocutors discussed also the opportunities provided by the free trade zone agreement signed between Iran and EAEU which is another impetus for the development of Armenia-Iran cooperation.
During the meeting the parties exchanged views over cooperation in the energy sector.
