Number of imported cars to Armenia drastically grows in 2019
In the first seven months of 2019 the number of imported cars to Armenia reached 70,000 while during the 2018 the number reached 67,000. The statistics has been presented by the deputy chairman of the State Revenue Committee Shushan Nersisyan.
“This big number of import is agreed with the EAEU united customs rate to enter into force from 2020,” Nersisyan wrote on Facebook presenting the works conducted in the sector and the expected changes.
In implemented works sector, the official said that a 6-day working regime has been established in Noragavit from January 2019 and hired additional 5 inspectors for registrations. He stressed that as of today about 700 cars are being registered in Armenia, of which 500 in Noragavit.
As to the expected changes, he wrote that Noragavit car customs clearance office will work with 7-day regime, for which additional 6 employees will be hired.
“I also want to note that Armenia’s PM instruction to move the car clearance office to Gyumri is very important for giving complex solution to all this as there all the necessary conditions will be created for implementing facilitated car customs clearance procedures,” he wrote adding that wide-scale activities have already launched and by the end of the year the office will be moved to Gyumri.
