Corruption brought to minimum: police chief
The Armenian police has registered a stable growth in revelations due to the selected strategy, head of police headquarters Armen Ghukasyan told the reporters today, summing up the first quarter of 2019.
“For the reported period we have revealed the so-called “dead cases”. As to the fight against corruption the revelation of the cases is gradually becoming more difficult, but the fight is inevitable,” he noted.
Police chief Valeriy Osipyan said that this ill phenomenon has been brought to minimum and almost eliminated.
Police headquarters chief also said that during the reported period 320 units of weapons have been seized against 314 of the same span of the past year.
Referring to the police staff and structure issues, Ghukasyan said during the running year 16 police servicemen have been dismissed, another 151 have been involved in the service.
