Number of crimes grows by 1,007 in first quarter of 2019
The number of crimes in the first quarter of the running year has grown by 1,007 agreed with the growing number of thefts, head of police headquarters Armen Ghukasyan told at a news conference today.
He also stressed that the trust of people toward the police has essentially grown. He said it is an unprecedented situation.
“The growth in the number of crimes is agreed with the conduction of crimes by paroled. Each of them conducted more than 2 crimes – murder attempts, hooliganism, harm to health, drug sale, robbery,” Ghukasyan said.
He also stressed that the number of grave crimes has grown by 253 including cases of bribes, murders, hijacking.
“Part of the crimes are the ones against people’s property, but, roughly speaking, it is better for them to rob than kill,” the police official said.
