Issue of authorities to be solved in streets: Kocharyan
Successful modernization of the country, effective management and implementation of reforms are impossible without management experience, predictable team and country’s economic and social development concept program, Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan said in an interview to Golos Armenii paper.
“I have a succeeded presidential experience in Karabakh and Armenia, during the past ten years I was member of Board of Directors of big world investment companies acting in different sectors,” he said stressing that his experience is unique.
Asked when he will state about concrete format of opposition he imagines which will form “consensus minus one,” Kocharyan said, “I think “consensus minus one” as an idea has already been formed in the political field. All see that the state apparatus serves not for the country’s development programs but for the business and caprices of one person and stems from his extremely primitive worldview,” he stressed adding that there is a fruitful ground for consolidation of the opposition but this center cannot be created immediately.
“I suppose there will be several centers and active cooperation will be established among them. I will be an important circle in this processes but not the only one, the country needs wide consolidation of healthy forces,” he stressed, adding that after the consolidation process of the opposition ends the political fight will get a more coordinated and wide-scale nature.
Kocharyan did not exclude that the authorities’ issue more probably will be solved in the streets.
“I think the issue of the authorities will be settled in street…through snap parliamentary elections. With this management quality the current government will not stay long and has no prospects for re-elections,” he said.
