Court releases Robert Manukyan suspected in assassination attempt against his brother on Yerevan-Sevan highway
Melik Manukyan’s brother Robert Manukyan arrested with the suspicion of assassination attempt against his own brother on Yerevan-Sevan highway by placing an explosive device on the road has been released after the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction has upheld the petition of his lawyer.
The bodyguard of Melik Manukyan who tried to drive off the car from the site has also been arrested. He did it with the demand of Robert Manukyan.
R. Manukyan’s lawyer Hovsep Sargsyan filed a petition against the arrest of Robert Manukyan. Speaking to Aysor.am he said that the court has upheld their petition as it has been found out that the police measures while arresting Manukyan were not lawful.
“The court came to conclusion that the measures of the police while arresting Robert Manukyan were not lawful. He later was beaten in the police department,” Sargsyan said.
