Instability in Artsakh inadmissible: Artsakh parliament’s Dashnaktsutyun faction head
The yesterday’s rally in Stepanakert’s Revival Square was the joint meeting of the leaders of Armenia and Artsakh with the people and such meeting cannot but be hailed, head of Artsakh parliament’s Dashnaktsutyun faction Armen Sargsyan said, speaking to Aysor.am.
He said each political force has its position over different political issues and the priority of Dashnaktsutyun’s policy was and is Artsakh’s unification with Armenia.
“For Dashnaktsutyun Artsakh is Armenia. Consequently we did not see any sense in coming with a statement over this meeting as Dashnaktsutyun’s policy’s core and the key goal is this unity. We are for not for the strong ties between Artsakh and Armenia but for their unity,” Sargsyan said.
Referring to the rally and the participation of the leaders of Armenia and Artsakh in it, he said that first it sounded strange that the meeting will be attended by Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan only, but then when it was stated about the participation of Artsakh president Bako Sahakyan the initiative was hailed.
“We are concerned with the possible domestic instability in Artsakh as it may become our Achilles heel. I think this rally was another step to discharge the political atmosphere and ensure more calm domestic political situation in Artsakh,” Sargsyan noted.
He stressed that Armenia must not only be guarantor of Artsakh’s security but the independence as well and consequently if Armenia’s Prime Minister comes and meets with Artsakh people together with Artsakh’s president it means that the Armenian authorities are trying to make another step for being Artsakh’s independence guarantor.
