I am not a person to order to shoot at protesters: Artsakh hero Samvel Karapetyan on article published by BBC
General-mayor, Artsakh hero Samvel Karapetyan rejected the information about ordering to open fire in the direction of protestants on March 1, 2008.
“I am aware of the publication, but I have not studied it. Who am I to give order? Am I the person to order to shoot at the protesters?! I have been informed about the publication, but I am very busy now with the Pan-Armenian games. I will study the publication after the games are over and answer all the questions,” Karapetyan told Armlur.
Today BBC has published an article about March 1, 2008 events, saying that it has a document which says that forces from Karabakh shot at protesters in Yerevan. According to the article a secret headquarter acted in presidential residence and Gagik Tsarukyan and Samvel Alexanyan were funding it.
Earlier today members of defense team of Robert Kocharyan stated that the circumstances mentioned in the article are missing in the criminal case.
