If succeeded free trade agreement with Singapore to be signed in October in Yerevan: Armenia’s PM
The issue of signing free trade agreement between EAEU and Singapore was a subject of discussion at the EAEU Council’s session in Kyrgyzstan today.
“Issues on expanding trade-economic cooperation and particularly signing free trade agreement between EAEU and Singapore were discussed. A basic arrangement has been reached that in case of ending the negotiations on time and reaching consensus over the draft contract Singapore’s prime minister will participate in the EAEU Supreme Economic Council’s session in Yerevan on October 1 and the corresponding agreement will be signed,” Pashinyan said, adding that heads of governments of the member states agreed in this issue.
Pashinyan applied to the EAEU member states and the leadership of the Eurasian Economic Commission with the request to accelerate all the necessary procedures to ensure successful signing of the agreement on October 1 in Yerevan.
The Armenian PM said that according to the arrangement reached with the member states invitation to participate in October 1 session has also been sent to the president of Iran.
He also stressed that within the framework of the session an international conference on Transit Potential of Eurasian Continent will also be conducted.
“The conference participants will discuss the modern issues of development of transport and logistic network of the continent, prospects on working out new wide-scale infrastructure projects by the states of the region, implementation of the existing projects as well as issues on development of Eurasian digital corridors,” he said.
