Former PM urges governor to open valves for Vorotan water reach Sevan and not Azerbaijan
Former prime minister, economist Hrant Bagratyan referred to the statement of governor that no water enters to Sevan Lake via Vorotan-Sevan tunnel.
The former PM stated that even during “dark and cold years” (meaning years of presidency of Levon Ter-Petrosyan – auth.) the construction of Vorotan-Arpa, Sevan-Dilijan tunnels did not stop even for a minute.
“Three bridges were handed to exploitation, Ashtarak, Davitashen (their construction started yet during the Soviet years), Meghri (planned and built in a year), Sarsang-Stepanakert power line, power line connecting with Iran was almost completed, nuclear plant, military plants, etc.,” Bagratyan wrote on Facebook.
“No construction is taking place now in Armenia, with only North-South being constructed launched during the presidency of Serzh Sargsyan. Now, brother governor or minister at least open the valves for Vorotan water come to Sevan instead of going to Azerbaijan,” he wrote.
