Kocharyan’s defense team files 7 complaints to ECHR
Defense team of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan has filed a petition on June 27 for changing his preventive measure, lawyer Hayk Alumyan stated today, adding that the court though has not examined the petition yet.
He stressed that according to the law the petition is to be examined immediately after it is filed.
“We have already applied to the European Court of Human Rights. It is already our 7th complaint addressed to the European Court. This complaint is about refusal to implement justice,” Alumyan said, adding that the team has decided to periodically present the ECHR that the petition on release on bail is not being examined.
He said that the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction reasons the delay with the case against judge Davit Grigoryan and suspension of his authorities. Alumyan claimed the case is studied by him and has not be transferred to any other judge.
