Justice minister claims not having responsibility to have Istanbul Convention ratified at any way
There is no responsibility on me to have Istanbul convention ratified at any way, justice minister Rustam Badasyan told the reporters today.
He did not agree with the observation that the majority of the members of parliament seem to be against the ratification of the convention.
“Where have you noticed it? I do not know any such thing, I just know that the discussions are underway. There is no responsibility on me to have the Istanbul Convention ratified at any way,” he said.
Asked whether he does not face the issue of resignation if convention is not ratified, Badasyan said, “Why should I do that?”
